ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a type of resistand and hard plastic filament, which allows to be sanded, polished, drilled, painted and glued with a solution of acetone/ABS, or specialized adhesives. As the ABS is soluble in acetone, it allows after being printed,as post processing technique, to smooth the parts using acetone vapor (attention: acetone vapor is harmful to health, you have to use appropriate measures security). These features make it ideal for printing mechanical parts that need to be handled or machined after being printed.
